BEST OF BRITISH WITH BARONS EDEN

BARONS EDEN

Tambov, Russian Federation - August 16, 2015: Bottle of Champagne Veuve Clicquot Brut in gift box. Studio shot.

Sporadic sunshine, Wimbledon and Liz’s Jubilee can only mean one thing – it’s time to get ready for a very British summer.

If you, like most of us, are yearning to channel your inner Bridgerton and indulge in some luxury this year, the team of experts at Barons Eden, owners of luxury day spa Eden Hall in Nottinghamshire and award-winning hotel and spa Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire, have curated a selection of the ultimate best of British activities to commemorate this summer’s top occasions.

  1. Hoar Cross Hall 150th Anniversary

To celebrate the 150th birthday of the Hoar Cross Hall estate, Barons Eden have created their most luxuriously lavish escape ever. Prepare to be spoiled during the Grand Getaway two-night escape available in July, August and September. This includes a bottle of Veuve Clicquot (ooh lala), two nights in a premium room, breakfast both mornings, dinner in the AA rosette-awarded Ballroom restaurant and lunch both days in either Henry’s or Hugo’s, the escape promises to leave you feeling like royalty. And if that wasn’t enough, skincare brand, Elemis, have partnered with Barons Eden to give you a two-hour exclusive treatment for the face and body – because would a king or queen limit themselves to one hour? We don’t think so.

  1. ‘Pop’ to the Veuve Champagne Bar

What is more luxurious than a crisp glass of Veuve whilst you take in the view of the stunning rolling countryside of Staffordshire, sitting on manicured grounds enjoying the sunshine or playing old fashioned lawn games in the formal gardens? It’s time to endear yourself to the Bridgerton way of life and escape into pure unadulterated bliss at Hoar Cross Hall’s pop-up Veuve champagne bar. As part of the 150th anniversary, Barons Eden have partnered with Veuve Clicquot to curate a tailored champagne cocktail menu for the month of August. We’ll see you there…

  1. Let’s get quintessential

As 2022 marks our queenie’s 70th year on the throne, Hoar Cross Hall has introduced a premium afternoon tea for the month of June – what is more quintessentially British than that? Whether you enjoy tucking into marmalade sandwiches like Paddington or overindulging on scones the Devon or Cornwall way, there is something to pique all those British tastes. Featuring a luxury selection of seasonal scones, delectable sandwiches including the queen’s favourite cucumber, cream cheese dill and mint finger sandwich and to finish your palette an array of sweet treats (including platinum-coloured truffles in the shape of a crown, umm!), all to be enjoyed with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne and a pot of hot tea. This day out is the ultimate afternoon of celebration.

  1. Take in the British Countryside

Slip into something a little more… active(and if you’re feeling really British, pack lots of sun cream) and take yourself around the scenic landscapes of both Hoar Cross Hall Hotel and Spa and Eden Hall Day Spa. Both of these countryside escapes will soothe your mind to the sounds of the Great British outdoors, and the sweet summer smell of freshly cut grass. Being meticulously maintained by a dedicated team, the surroundings feature manicured lawns, gravel pathways, woodland walks, rose and herb gardens, and idyllic fountains. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, why not hire a bike and embark on a journey around local area of Hoar Cross?

  1. Partake in some exhilarating activities!

If you are inspired by the tennis this summer, take to the courts at Hoar Cross Hall and practice your swing, just like our Tudor King Henry VII would have done. Or if you would rather spend time taking it all the way back to Alfred the Great and the Saxons (yes, we’ve watched The Last Kingdom), then give the archery class a go – at either of the Barons Eden luxury properties. There really is an activity for everyone! Simply head to reception at both Hoar Cross Hall or Eden Hall and find out which activities are available.
