Curate your own Christmas and support Local London talent at

Old Spitalfields market is where the artistic East End meets the City, where luxury meets craft- its history, diversity and location are unlike anywhere else and this is reflected through the market traders you’ll find on the market floor. This festive season, the market offers an escape from the highstreet, a place to explore London’s artistic spirit up close. Every visitor can create their own unique journey of cultural discovery.

Old Spitalfields Market has a rich history that spans centuries, dating back to the 1800s, the market has been home to silk weavers, fruit sellers and antique dealers, all of which left their mark, making Old Spitalfields one of the most eclectic and interesting places to shop in London. For the festive period, the historic Victorian market has been transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland with streams of fairy lights and oversized hanging wreaths, providing the perfect backdrop to spend time meandering through the rich collection of local producers and artisan businesses.

The market is home to over 80 different market vendors, so visitors can explore the likes of homewear curator Hazindak, Himalayan accessory artist Little Tibet, and vintage streetwear seller Hippish Vintage. These independent sellers sit proudly next to established brands including Diptyque, Aēsop, Mulberry and & Other Stories.

This markets diversity is also reflected in the food offering- you can travel the world in one location via ‘The Kitchens’, a collection of street food stalls from NILLY’s traditional, authentic Turkish wraps and DIRTY BAGELs loaded pulled pork bagels, to the taste of India at INDI-GO – Let your tastebuds travel the globe, all under one roof. If you fancy a British classic, you can enjoy a famous Humble Crumble, or cuddle up with a winter warmer with a drink at the newly opened French inspired 65a, or explore the Christmas cocktail menus at The Loft.

All those who visit are encouraged to visit TERN, the entrepreneurial refugee charity, who will be hosting a stall to support UK based refugee businesses by selling their products – a place to find a gift that gives back.
