Japanese-inspired Delights at TOKii Restaurant in London’s Prince Akatoki Hotel

Just a stone’s throw from the bustle of Oxford Street, there’s a welcoming oasis awaiting serving a tasty selection of Japanese dishes.

The minimalist Japanese style of luxury five-star hotel Prince Akatoki in Marylebone is home to the elegant TOKii restaurant, the perfect place to escape the clamour of London’s city streets.

The food at TOKii Restaurant is also Japanese-inspired and celebrates the meeting of East and West. There’s a focus on sushi, sashimi, seafood and meat cooked on the robata grill. Dishes are created using fresh, international ingredients and are designed to be shared at the centre of the table.

Diners can enjoy a six-course set menu for £35 or choose from the a la carte, something of a tome and neatly divided into manageable sections. Dishes arrive at a relaxed pace, all beautifully presented. The bite selections include exotic dishes like lotus crisps, spiced edamame, and buttermilk fried chicken.

There’s a range of skewers, including the sublime pork belly teriyaki Tokii-style, salmon, or chicken. Cold dishes include yellowtail carpaccio, beef fillet tataki, tuna tartar, and potted brown shrimp. And the hot dishes encompass a range of vegetables, meat, and fish, including asparagus with truffle butter sauce, shrimp tempura, and robata grilled aubergine. There’s also a choice of tasty sides.

Signature dishes at TOKii Restaurant bring the taste of luxury to the table. Delectable lobster croquettes are served with mango and yuzu salsa in a circle of Devon handpicked crab. There’s also the ever-indulgent hot stone wagyu beef and teriyaki duck breast. And, of course, a comprehensive sushi and sashimi selection, including Grade A5 wagyu nigiri. A real treat. To finish, there’s a wide range of desserts like this oozing dark chocolate fondant served with matcha ice cream.

TOKii Restaurant offers an unrushed and relaxing way to enjoy the diverse cuisine of Japan in surroundings of peace and comfort. The perfect cure for any post-shopping exhaustion.

TOKii is in the Prince Akatoki Hotel, 50 Cumberland Place, London W1H 7FD.
