With World Gin Day (10th June) nearly here, what better way to honour this beloved spirit than with Aldi’s range of award-winning gins?

Ideal for those looking to toast to the warmer evenings and longer nights, Aldi’s flavourful tipples will provide a refreshing and satisfying accompaniment to any summer gathering or laid-back evening at home. What’s more, with bottles starting from just £14.99, there’s no need to compromise quality over price!

Recently named one of the best in the world at the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC), Aldi’s Haysmith’s Rhubarb & Ginger Gin (£14.99, 70cl) was described by judges as “Magnificently well balanced with full, rich flavours of mouth-watering rhubarb, fiery ginger and chaste juniper”. Despite costing less than £15, Aldi’s bottle beat Edinburgh Gin’s Rhubarb & Ginger option, which retails at around double the price[1].

Already making waves in the spirits industry, Aldi’s new Haysmith’s Yuzu and Mandarin Gin (£16.99, 70cl) is the supermarket’s first-ever Japanese gin. Blending the popular Japanese citrus fruit Yuzu, a cross between lemon and grapefruit, with a hint of fresh sweet mandarin and juniper, the expertly distilled tipple landed a silver medal at this year’s IWSC, beating brands costing double the price[2].

For those who prefer the taste of a classic gin and tonic, Aldi’s Haysmith’s London Dry Gin (£14.99, 70cl) is the gin shoppers won’t be able to beat. Awarded silver at the IWSC, Aldi’s bottle beat popular Cotswold Dry Gin, costing 50% more[3]

Toast the evening with a taste of the Mediterranean with Aldi’s Seville Orange & Persian Lime Gin (£14.99, 70cl). Awarded a silver medal at the World Gin Awards this year. Judges noted, floral orange blossom developing nicely on the palate and a tart line appearing on the finish”. Shoppers will be delighted to know this award-winning gin not only tastes amazing but is over £10 cheaper (43%) than Tanqueray’s Sevilla Gin[4]gin-gin indeed!

Also coming away with a silver medal at the World Gin Awards was Aldi’s Haysmith’s Blackberry & Raspberry Bramble Gin (£14.99, 70cl). This crimson-coloured gin offers a sweet punchy taste with rich berry notes that impressed judges with its “complexity of flavour on the palate”. Best served over tonic and ice, with fresh blackberries as garnish.
