Din Tai Fung, the highly coveted dumpling hotspot is set to launch the UK’s first ever Beef Xiao Long Bao at its London restaurant in Selfridges, on Monday 01 August 2022.
Celebrated from Taiwan to LA for perfecting the art of making Xiao Long Bao, this latest creation is the brand’s innovative take on its iconic Pork Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Soup Dumplings) and is also a world first for Din Tai Fung.
Created with over half a century of precision, the Beef Xiao Long Bao does not compromise on the famed Din Tai Fung traditional Taiwanese flavours. With each dumpling delicately rolled out, filled, and meticulously folded with exactly 18 delicate folds, Din Tai Fung’s Xiao Long Bao are the pinnacle of culinary craftsmanship. Offering unparalleled dining experiences, the launch of this latest concept – which has not yet been achieved in any restaurant within the UK – is testament to the brand’s dedication to the art of traditional techniques, consistently delivering authentic Taiwanese cuisine.

About Din Tai Fung
The birth of Din Tai Fung came about in 1958 as a cooking oil store opened by Bingyi Yang and his wife. In 1972, when tinned cooking oil was introduced, the oil store business was threatened, and Mr Yang changed the business into making and selling steamed dumplings. The quality of the Din Tai Fung steamed dumplings soon captured the hearts and stomachs of its customers and through word-of-mouth, the legend of Din Tai Fung started and even after 46 years, the Din Tai Fung Xiao Long Bao are still considered as a world-class delicacy.
