The latest wellness trend making waves is the rise of “Adrenal Cocktails”, with over 1,700 posts using the #adrenalcocktail on TikTok. Not only that, but Google searches for “adrenal cocktail recipe” have increased by more than 5,000% across the UK in the last 30 days.
This nutrient-rich drink is reported to support the body during times of stress. Typically made with orange or lemon juice for vitamin C, salt for sodium, and coconut water or cream of tartar for potassium, this blend of ingredients is said to help combat fatigue, burnout, and the effects of increased adrenaline levels.
However, experts from healthy drinks brand DASH Water suggest that you might not get the desired effect by drinking these cocktails alone. They comment,
“Adrenal Cocktails are the latest wellness trend to take over social media, following in the footsteps of dopamine detoxes earlier this year. Popular on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, these refreshing drinks typically combine orange or lemon juice, sea salt, and coconut water, with some versions adding cream of tartar, magnesium, or collagen powders for an extra boost.
