VALENTINE’S COCKTAILS

If you don’t want to splash out on a swanky bar this Valentine’s day, but still want to enjoy bar-quality cocktails, founder of World of Zing and Channel 4 Sunday Brunch cocktail expert, Pritesh Mody, has crafted the ultimate recipes to whip up a special cocktail from home.

Simply follow the below recipes to undoubtedly impress your loved one, offering classic cocktails with a twist!

VALENTINE’S COCKTAILS – SALTED CARAMEL ESPRESSO MARTINI

INGREDIENTS

  • 50ml Ketel One Vodka
  • 25ml Mr Blacks Coffee Liqueur
  • 10ml Salted Caramel 
  • 25ml fresh espresso (single shot)

METHOD

  • Pour all ingredients into an ice filled shaker (coffee goes last)
  • Shake hard until super cold
  • Strain into your martini glass
  • Garnish with a chocolate dusting 

VALENTINE’S COCKTAILS – PINOTAGE SPRITZ

A delicious way to brighten up red wine, with the flavour matching perfectly with dark meats, roasts and stews if you are whipping up a romantic dinner!

INGREDIENTS

  • 75ml South African Pinotage (or Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot works too)
  • 75ml London Essence Indian Tonic

METHOD

  • Build in an ice filled highball or wine glass
  • Garnish with Thyme and Slices of Lemon

VALENTINE’S COCKTAILS – TANQUERAY RANGPUR LIME CHAI SPICED GIMLET 

VALENTINE’S COCKTAILS

Infusing the fragrant, citrusy Rangpur Lime Distilled Gin with Chai tea brings complementary warming spices to this classic cocktail (Units per serve: 2).

INGREDIENTS 

  • 50ml Chai Infused Rangpur* 
  • 30ml Lime Juice 
  • 15m Sugar Syrup 

METHOD 

  • Shake all ingredients into an ice filled shaker 
  • Pour into a martini glass 
  • Garnish with a ginger slice

 *CHAI INFUSED GIN RECIPE:

  • 110ml Rangpur 
  • 1 Chai tea bag
  •  Add ingredients into a jar or glass
  •  Gently warm in the microwave for 30 seconds
  • Give it a good stir and refrigerate the liquid until cool (about 1 hours)
  • Strain this liquid with a tea-strainer and use in the cocktail

A singular tale of apples, using different forms of apples to build the story of an ingredient that we take for granted. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 50ml Bushmills 10 Irish Whiskey
  • 20ml Liberty Fields Apple Syrup (or Sugar Syrup) – 140
  • 10ml cider vinegar 
  • 30ml Cloudy Apple Juice 
  • 50ml soda

METHOD

  • Shake all ingredients.  
  • Strain into an ice filled highball
  • Top with 50ml soda
  • Garnish with fresh apple slice and Sprig of Thyme
