Maisons Pariente is delighted to unveil its first Parisian address on the 18th September with the opening of Le Grand Mazarin. At the corner of rue des Archives and rue de la Verrerie, in the heart of the Marais district, the 5-star hotel will be one of the new places to discover in the capital this autumn. With 61 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, winter garden, cabaret, and an indoor swimming pool, the new Maisons Pariente property in Paris promises to be a captivating destination for visitors from all over the world, as well as for Parisians themselves.
Design
Unique elegance with an artistic spirit
For this large-scale project in a legendary district like the Marais, the Pariente family wanted to give a major place to art in all its forms, and have taken their passion for art to a new dimension with nearly 500 works scattered across the hotel. The décor of Le Grand Mazarin bears the inspired signature of internationally renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki, who combined the French classicism of 18th-century salons with a refined, joyously poetic fantasy. Located in a historic 14th century building, the hotel boasts Brudnizki’s refined yet eclectic signature style. With vintage objects, seashells embedded in the wallpaper, as well as custom designed rugs, in every corner of Le Grand Mazarin, Brudnizki’s unlimited imagination is captured.
Entreprises du Patrimoine
Maisons Pariente and Brudnizki have called upon the skills of some of France’s greatest craft houses, such as the Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Companies) label. These artisans still work with the same traditional handmade methods honed by previous generations and have been carefully considered to create a sense of ambience and provide a dazzling demonstration of their skills, from lighting to tapestries.
Supporting the new generation of artistic talent
Contemporary artists such as Jacques Merle and Sophia Pega have each created bespoke work for Le Grand Mazarin. Jacques Merle created Le Grand Mazarin’s dreamlike swimming pool fresco. Inspired by tales and myths, the impressive space is surrounded by flowers and hand-painted trees and evokes the myth of Narcissus. The work of Menorcan-born artist Sophie Pega can only be compared to a majestic wonderland, where she has dressed Le Grand Mazarin’s winter garden with 12 celestial windows inspired by tarot cards. The hotel is also home to hundreds of works of art and vintage furniture sourced from Paris, London and elsewhere, in collaboration with Amélie Maison d’Art.
Boubalé
Le Grand Mazarin’s bar, restaurant and winter garden is called Boubalé. Meaning “little darling” in Yiddish, Boubalé is the affectionate nickname given to Eastern European grandmothers. Created in collaboration with JLM Group, known for successful establishments like Balagan, Shabour*, Tékès and Shosh-Shana. Israeli Michelin-starred chef Assaf Granit pays homage to the Ashkenazi cuisine of his childhood, with an irresistibly modern reinvention that he keeps secret. The menu invites you to take a delicious gourmet journey through the colours and flavours of Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean.
Le Bar de l’hôtel Grand Mazarin and The Secret Cabaret
Spectacular evenings will be spent in Le Bar de l’hôtel Grand Mazarin, where the chic warm décor provides a magical setting for friends to gather and laugh well into the night. The non-conformist spirit of Boubalé is also reflected in the high-end signature cocktails and eclectic menu that is notorious with the Maisons Pariente style. At Le Grand Mazarin, guests can expect a unique and enchanting experience in a warm and festive atmosphere. This ambiance extends to the mysterious cabaret, where transformist Uriel takes centre stage and has carte blanche to illuminate the nights of Paris. No mobile phones allowed!

For the ultimate luxury in the Marais, Le Grand Mazarin’s vast indoor swimming pool is the perfect place to catch your breath in the hustle and bustle of Paris. Thanks to a partnership with the Parisian alternative beauty concept store Oh My Cream. Guests can also have an exclusive selection of cosmetics from the finest international brands delivered to their room, with a menu specially designed for Le Grand Mazarin. The hotel’s treatment room is dedicated to the magical massages of Anne Cali, the iconic therapist who has won over Parisian women with her spectacular technique.
