Lily Keeling, registered nutritionist and Recipe Development Manager from Green Chef comments,

“Last year we noticed an increase in popularity for cottage cheese as people started sharing recipes and cooking methods with this ingredient across social media platforms. Now, we can see searches for Greek yogurt-inspired recipes inclining, and we think this ingredient will be the next big favourite amongst foodies and health-focused cooks. Greek yoghurt is easy to buy, good value, hugely versatile and most importantly packed with nutritional benefits.”

You will need:

  • 180g self-raising flour powder
  • 240g plain Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • A pinch of salt

How to make:

  1. Preheat your oven to 230°C
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-raising flour and a pinch of salt and stir.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the Greek yoghurt. Use a spoon or your hands to mix until a dough starts to form. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour. If it’s too dry, add more yogurt.
  4. Once the dough has come together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  5. Roll the dough out into your desired pizza shape.
  6. Add your desired sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  7. Bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  8. Slice, serve, and enjoy your Greek yoghurt pizza!
