AQUAVIT LONDON: A TASTE OF SCANDI SPRING

As the weather improves and layers are discarded, our thoughts naturally turn to lighter dining options.

Head Chef Jonas Karlsson of Aquavit London in St James’s Market has introduced a host of new dishes, putting the spotlight on seafood and seasonal flavours, on the Nordic-inspired menu this spring.

Set to take centre stage, the seafood platter is a real showstopper, ideal to share with friends or family for an indulgent feast. Tuck into oysters, mussels, dressed crab and yellowfin tuna tartare, served with lemon, shallot vinegar and Bloody Mary ketchup (£85).

Sensational smorgasbord plates are not to be missed – think lobster and potato gratin with dill and tarragon (£37); and raw sea bass with citrus dressing, kohlrabi, avocado, chervil and dill (£18.50). Magnificent new mains include stone bass fillet with celeriac croquette, liquorice jus and avruga (£30); and a vegan potato and onion ‘risotto’ with parsley, tarragon and chives (£22).

A carefully crafted new cocktail list, inspired by fairy tales, offers a number of enchanting choices to accompany your meal. Into the Woods is an exciting blend of Sapling Vodka, Appleton Estate, Amaretto Disaronno and orgeat; whilst We’ve Met Before? is a refreshing mix of Akevitt Blank aged, Salcombe Rose, light tonic and cucumber. A selection of wines, champagnes, beers and top shelf spirits are also available.

Step into spring with Aquavit London.
