“I am really excited to have created Skin Food Complex as it has given me the opportunity to put all the wonderful natural nutrients that optimise skin health and vitality into one single product designed to feed your skin from within. I use this regime myself and I love the moisturised glow it gives after just a short time. Our shared philosophy of “nature knows best” and our focus on ingredients from the natural world has created an exceptionally efficacious and gorgeous skin programme to feed your skin from the inside and out!”

Inspired by the iconic Skin Food Original and Weleda’s long-held holistic approach to skincare; intensively nourish your skin around the clock with the Weleda Skin Food Nourishing Day and Night Creams. Formulated with Skin Food’s original signature botanicals – rosemary, wild pansy, calendula, chamomile, sunflower – the creams are clinically proven to deliver immediate and long-lasting moisture, and are suitable for women and men of all ages with skin that has a tendency to dryness, or as a nourishing boost for skin going through a dry phase.

Future-proofing your skin with the Skin Food Regime

The Complete Skin Food Regime is designed to optimise the health and vitality of both the deep layers of skin as they develop and the visible surface layer which appears a few weeks later. Only if skin receives the best nourishment in the development stages can you ensure resilient, healthy, glowing, moisturised skin during its cycle. However, once it reaches the surface your skin is subjected to many environmental and other damaging influences that can dull its appearance and reduce vitality. That’s why together Cytoplan and Weleda UK have created a complete regime to ensure resilient healthy skin from the inside and outside.  Let your new Skin Food regime restore a healthy glow, naturally.

“As a holistic health and beauty brand, the idea of Weleda coming together with Cytoplan to develop a nourishing skincare regime that cares holistically for skin – from both inside and out – felt a natural fit. Inspired by our original Skin Food cream from 1926, we’ve captured some of the magic of that iconic beauty product in a holistic skincare set that harnesses the power of nature. We’ve used the very best quality natural and organic ingredients we can grow or source, to create a skincare regime to nourish on all levels.”

Cytoplan Skin Food Complex
BilberryBilberry is packed full of antioxidants called anthocyanodins which are profoundly protective to skin, quenching free radicals and helping delay the signs of ageing. Bilberry fruit is also anti-inflammatory and high in tannins which have astringent properties and help skin feel tightened and toned.
BiotinBiotin is an important component of skin and helps maintain good hydration, smoothness and strength.
Grape Seed ExtractThe pronanthocyanadins in grape seed extract are powerful antioxidants, which may help to protect the skin from free radical damage, UV damage and premature ageing. Grape Seed extract binds collagen fibres to produce a powerful antioxidant and membrane stabilising effect that protects against premature skin ageing, promoting elasticity.
Hyaluronic AcidHyaluronic acid is a complex polysaccharide found naturally in connective, epithelial and neural tissues. It is a key molecule for helping skin retain moisture and protecting against UV-mediated and other skin ageing drivers. Sourced via fermented plant sugars.
MCTMCT (medium chain triglycerides) oil is derived from coconuts. An emollient with natural antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, it helps keep skin smooth and protected against minor infections.
MSM MSM is a natural form of plant-derived sulphur. Keratin, a sulphur-rich protein is found on the outside surface of skin and is responsible for its protection and structure. Many diets today are low in sulphur-containing foods and as the body has a high need for sulphur, MSM can act as a supportive source for keratin production. Also known to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and membrane stabilising properties. Associated with improved skin texture.
SilicaSilica resides in collagen fibres giving connective tissue strength and flexibility. Good levels help to improve elasticity, texture and hydration of the skin as well as reducing the visible signs of ageing. Here the silica is sourced from bamboo.
Vegan Collagen(Vollagen)Collagen helps skin to appear firm, radiant, smooth and more supple. Vollagen is a complex of amino acids in the same proportion as those found within collagen, but using only plant-source starting material. The amino acids in Vollagen are in the exact desired ratio, in a water-dispersible format, and are already isolated so the body is ready to easily absorb them.
Vitamin CVitamin C is involved in collagen production and good levels help support skin structure and improve skin tone, texture and hydration, which can reduce the signs of ageing. A powerful antioxidant that helps to combat oxidative stress to the skin and premature ageing.
ZincZinc is involved in protein and collagen synthesis, and in tissue growth and healing. It also contributes anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Zinc is required for building keratin and for the formation of collagen, produced by zinc-dependent enzymes called collagenases.  Even mild deficiencies of zinc can impair collagen production and wound healing.
