Easter is quickly approaching which means that it’s time to gather your ingredients, get your eggs lined up and preheat the oven for what’s going to be a huge celebration of delicious food and spending time with loved ones.
Struggling to make your mind up on a menu this year? For inspiration, food box delivery company, HelloFresh, have analysed Google search data to reveal some popular Easter recipes to try.
According to HelloFresh, Brits are seeking inspiration for cookies, bread and vegetarian recipes as Google searches for “Easter vegetarian recipes”, “Easter cookies recipe” and “Easter bread recipes” have all increased by more than 5,000% across the UK in the last 30 days.
With this in mind, Senior Recipe Development Manager, Mimi Morley and the team at HelloFresh have pulled together three twists on the top favourites that will wow your crowd this Easter.
Garlic Herb and Cheese Bread

Mimi comments,
“My biggest tip when recreating this recipe at home is to use high-quality ingredients. Choose the freshest herbs, high-quality cheeses, and fresh, crusty bread. This will make a big difference in the final product.
“Alternatively, make your own bread. Doing this from scratch is a great way to take your bread to the next level. You can use a rustic bread recipe that includes a mix of whole wheat and white flour, or you can experiment with different types of flour, like spelt or rye! And finally, switch up the cheeses to add depth to the flavours. Try using a combination of Gouda, Swiss and Cheddar cheese instead of just Parmesan and Mozzarella and top with herbs like thyme, rosemary, or oregano.”
Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies

“Adding lemon zest to your chocolate chip cookies can give them a refreshing and tangy flavour that pairs well with the sweetness of the chocolate. Or if you’re looking for the taste of spring, add a squeeze of lemon juice or berries to give the cookies a fresh flavour.”
Easter Veggie Board
“Easter is a great time to showcase your creativity and make a beautiful veggie board for your guests. I’d recommend adding a variety of colourful spring vegetables, such as radishes, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, and cucumbers, on a large platter. Add some fresh herbs like dill, mint or parsley to add flavour and a pop of colour.

If you’re a hostess with the mostest why not try arranging the vegetables into the shape of a bunny? Start with cucumber slices to form the face then add strips of red pepper for the ears. Try using black olives for the eyes and finish up with a cute cherry tomato nose. For whiskers, thin strips of spring onion will do the trick! Add some hummus or another dip of your choice in the centre of the platter to complete the look.”
