From Buckingham Palace to the heart of Westminster, one institution celebrates another. From 3rd May to 4th June, pioneering fine-dining Indian restaurant, The Cinnamon Club, is hosting a spectacular feast to mark HRH The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!
Dine on five extravagant courses amongst the book-lined shelves of the Grade II listed Old Westminster Library with friends and family and raise a toast to Her Majesty the Queen with a refreshing Westminster Gin & Tonic.
Vivek Singh’s signature style of fusing the spice of the subcontinent with the finest British ingredients is as elegant as Queen Elizabeth II herself. Priced at £70 per head, the feast begins with a selection of delectable canapés including home-cured Shetland salmon carpaccio with mustard caviar; and jackfruit and lotus root kebab, followed by starters of Kadhai spiced English asparagus with chickpea and yoghurt gnocchi or a delicious lamb mille-feuille.
The main event is a rightfully royal affair, with char-grilled Balmoral Estate venison served in a smoky black stone flower reduction alongside masala mashed potatoes. If game isn’t to your taste, choose from a selection of signature Cinnamon dishes such as kokum crusted halibut on the bone in a shallot and tamarind sauce, spinach malai kofta with stir-fried morels in a tomato fenugreek sauce. Sides for the table include black lentils and a choice of peshwari or garlic naan.
Desserts includes a spiced date pancake, served with banana and miso caramel sorbet; a sticky ginger toffee pudding topped with cinnamon ice cream; or the fitting dessert of royal malai kulfi with caramelised quinoa and raspberry crisp. For the final flourish, petit fours and coffee are to be enjoyed in the Old Library Bar.
Available for both lunch and dinner, gather your friends and celebrate the Queen’s fantastic seven-decade reign with The Cinnamon Club.
