Available on 12th February, the Valentine’s Weekend Treatpackage (priced from £355 per couple) includes an overnight stay in one of Down Hall’s beautiful classic rooms with breakfast included. Guests will also be treated to a decadent private dinner spotlighting seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the hotel’s kitchen gardens. Cooked to perfection by the hotel’s Executive Chef Graham Noonan-Chatham, the horticultural surroundings of Garden Room are reflected in the restaurant’s décor, which draws inspiration from the hotel’s grounds blending bold, botanical colours with marble-topped tables, creating the perfect setting for a romantic dinner.
As a live pianist plays, diners can sip on an aperitif whilst indulging in dishes of fresh Cornish lemon sole with scallop mousse and brown shrimps; and Black Angus beef fillet served with salt-baked celeriac and truffle jus. Finish on a sweet note with the dark chocolate ganache served with caramelised Seville orange ice cream in a honeycomb and whisky syrup. Wine pairings are also available at an additional cost. The special five-course menu will also be available to day guests on 14th February in the Garden Room, where it will be priced at £65 per person.
Guests can also book some R&R at Down Hall’s luxurious Eden Spa, where a variety of treatments using luxury ESPA products are on offer for both residents and day guests, as well as facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, a mood-lit sauna, and a state-of-the-art steam room with starry night feature lighting. For those looking to make the most of the outdoors, couples can grab their wellies to explore the 110 acres of beautiful park and woodlands or enjoy a competitive game on the newly fitted Padel tennis court.
Couples looking to go all out can opt for the Helicopter Escape package, which includes an overnight stay in the opulent Master Suite, complete with a free-standing copper bath overlooking the stunning grounds.
