Stepping through the doors of Bistro Bleu with its chic and intimate, art deco inspired surroundings is like stepping straight into Les Années Folles, and you’ll be greeted with a glass of Laure D’Echarmes Champagne and canapés to set the mood. For starters, you have a choice of delicate ravioli of Cornish crab with Nantua butter sauce or opt for the deliceux seared pigeon breast served with a polenta cake, pickled blackberries, and honey-roasted beetroot puree.
Moving on to the star of the show, take your pick between savoury halibut, paired with a leek fondue, lemon & Champagne velouté, avruga caviar, and red amaranth, or indulge in noisette of venison, fondant potato, spice wine-poached pear, and carrot Parisienne. Each comes with a perfectly paired verre de vin.
Before hitting the grand finale, enjoy an interlude of a trio of cheeses, served alongside savoury biscuits and a spiced apple and fig compote.
