Endlessly inventive Executive Pastry Chef, Cherish Finden, brings a Sugar Plum Fairy Afternoon Tea to The Orchid Lounge. Choose from the hotel’s signature ‘Kopi Tiam’ featuring Southeast Asian savouries including Shiitake mushroom bun with Korean BBQ sauce & chimichurri, Vietnamese prawn rolls and aromatic hoisin duck, or opt for the ‘Traditional’ with dainty coronation turkey, truffle egg mayonnaise and crab and pickled cucumber sandwiches. Both afternoon teas come with festive snowy stollen scones and four of Cherish’s picture-perfect patisserie beautifully presented in hanging bird cages. Choices include the Prima Ballerina, Cherry Blossom Macaroon, Cranberry Pate De Fruit and the Sugar Plum Fairy – Spiced Plum Compote, Mascarpone Chantilly, Choux. Add further sparkle to the Sugar Plum Fairy Afternoon Tea with a glass of Nyetimber English Sparkling Wine at £10 per person.

Festive Champagne Sunday Roast with an Asian Twist | Available every Sunday in December from 13:00 until 15:30
Delight in Singaporean-inspired Asian flavours in a relaxed setting as Straits Kitchen transforms into the famous party scene from The Nutcracker for its unique Sunday Roast with a twist. Available every Sunday in December, enjoy a festive roast where Asian meats take centre stage. The set menu includes a half bottle of champagne per person and offers a choice of starters including shrimp tempura and clear chestnut broth with rice noodles. The main event is a selection of succulent Asian roasting meats served in front of guests at carving stations. Choose from salmon en croute, a stuffed whole turkey, roast Peking duck, crisp pork belly, or a vegan nut roast, alongside sides of glutinous rice with oriental sausage, Pak Choi, or red cabbage. Rounding off the celebrations is a generous dessert buffet showcasing an extensive selection including panettone pudding, Christmas log, spicy clementine and chocolate shortbread and more.

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Feasting | Available 24th and 25th December
On Christmas Eve and Day, Straits Kitchen is serving up six delicious courses with small plate starters of crispy Peking duck skin with melon and caviar, pan-seared scallops with rice noodles and chestnut ginger broth with spring onions, chilli oil, and coriander. Show-stopping mains include black peppered beef with capsicum, oyster sauce, and Chinese rice wine, or lemongrass-infused wild turbot with brussels sprouts, and a crispy rice cake. Ending on a sweet note, guests can choose between traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce or the Guanacoa chocolate yule log with cinnamon sponge, whipped ganache, and spicy clementine sorbet. A unique Chinese wine pairing is available with the menu.

Pan Pacific London’s specialist rum bar, Ginger Lily, brings the magic of The Nutcracker’s snow scene to its sophisticated and stylish interiors. Boasting an extensive list of rare and exotic rums alongside carefully crafted cocktails, three new hot serves have been added to the menu. The warming cocktails include The Hot Negroni, sweet and spicy in an equal measure made with spiced gin, a fortified wine blend, Campari, and grenadine; and The Caribbean Coffee, a creative twist on the Espresso Martini mixed with dark rum, muscovado sugar, coffee, and finished with coconut double cream. The Doctor Prescription is perfect for those looking for even more heat, muddled with reposado tequila, spicy honey, ginger syrup and lemon.
