About East Of Eden

East of Eden

In March 2015, East of Eden opened as a small community studio in Walthamstow, NE London, offering 20 yoga and mat Pilates classes a week. The studio expanded a year later after a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs, to add reformer Pilates, barre and a new light and plant-filled yoga studio, then in March 2020, building works completed for a 3rd studio, plus 2 therapy rooms, a café, shop and new toilets and showers. However COVID-19 forced closure after just a week, forcing the community online.  The day the studios closed, East of Eden had 85 classes a week live streaming, and East of Eden at Home followed soon after: a low cost video on demand library, bringing best in class teaching and a wide variety of classes for all bodies.

East of Eden also collaborates with a number of partners to offer yoga, movement and meditation in different spaces, such as Natural History Museum, the Barbican, John Lewis, Soho House, Soho Theatre and others, plus hosts live music and yoga events with artists such as Joe Goddard and Hinako Omori
