It’s Wellness Month in Mauritius: Relax at The Westin

the westin

It’s Wellness Month this June at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa in Mauritius. Guests are invited to embark on a journey of transformation with a host of wellbeing experiences alongside a dedicated running programme complete with Run Concierge.

At the heart of the activities is the property’s runWestin programme and the opening of two new trails through the hills and valleys of Balaclava. Designed to help guests maintain their running routine while travelling, lace-up those running shoes and choose your distance, 5km for all the family or 12km for more seasoned runners. Run solo or join a group with the resort’s dedicated Run Concierge who will guide you through the most scenic parts of the island.

Other wellness activities, forming part of the resort’s pillars of Eat, Sleep and Move Well, include tennis, kayaking, trekking, volleyball, stand-up paddle, windsurfing and cycling as well as mindfulness meditation, tai chi, yoga and night aerobics.  There’s a fully equipped gym open 24 hours whilst the Heavenly Spa offers a wide range of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments, from sports massage to scrubs and facials.

At The Westin’s restaurants, Beach Grill and Seasonal Tastes, Wellness Month sees a focus on plant-based and sustainable ingredients with juicing workshops for guests to try their hands at creating energising drinks using organic fruits, vegetables, fresh herbs and roots.

The runWestin package is available from 26 May – 3 July. Rooms start from £395 per night based on two people staying in a Junior King Suite inclusive of daily breakfast and dinner plus a backpack with a dry-fit t-shirt and a 60-minute Fit Body or Recovery Massage.
