The Midland Manchester Partners with Pommery Champagne to Launch The Tea Room by Pommery

New partnership to offer a timeless and elegant experience in the heart of Manchester!

Manchester’s iconic hotel, The Midland, is partnering with premium Champagne brand Pommery to relaunch its afternoon tea offering. The partnership, which will see The Tea Room relaunch as The Tea Room by Pommery from 1st August, will deliver the finest afternoon tea experience in the city’s only dedicated afternoon tea room.

Alongside a brand-new menu, The Tea Room by Pommery will offer unique Champagne pairings, and diners will have the option to choose the Royal Afternoon Tea offering, which is served with a glass of either Louis Pommery England Rosé or Pommery Brut Royal NV. Or those looking to mark a celebration during their visit can upgrade either their Traditional Afternoon Tea (£35pp) or Royal Afternoon Tea (£45pp) to include a bottle of Pommery for an additional £55.

The new afternoon tea menu will serve a selection of exquisite sandwiches, including a maple & orange glazed ham and Dijon mustard sandwich served on white bread, and a roasted chicken sandwich with wood fired peppers and basil aioli, served on tomato bread.

Visitors will also be able to savour some freshly baked plain scones with Devon clotted cream and Mrs Darlington’s jams and will be presented with a wide selection of premium loose-leaf tea and home-baked cakes to choose from, including a passionfruit & meringue tart and a pina colada opera cake.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free afternoon tea menus will be available to cater to all dietary requirements, alongside a children’s afternoon tea menu for £15 per person.
