New findings reveal the best beauty advent calendars to get the most out of your money this Black Friday.
New research, conducted by experts in skin health Misumi Skincare, examined every beauty advent calendar of 2023 available in the United States, comparing the price of the calendar to the combined value of its contents to reveal the amount shoppers are saving.
The research reveals that NET-A-PORTER‘s ‘The Ultimate Gift Set’ advent calendar ranks as this year’s best value-for-money calendar. Priced at $375, the calendar features brands such as Augustinus Bader and Charlotte Tilbury and includes a mix of 15 full-sized products, including skincare, makeup, jewelry, accessories, and more. With its contents valued at $1,648, beauty lovers save a whopping $1,273.
The second most cost-effective beauty advent calendar of 2023 comes from Cult Beauty. With the Cult Beauty advent calendar, shoppers get $1,344 worth of products for just $280, a difference of $1,064. The calendar includes 39 beauty products, including 20 full sizes, and three golden tickets hidden within the calendars that give three lucky winners one thousand Cult Beauty pounds each to spend on the online store.
Dr. Barbara Sturm’s calendar places next in the ranking. At $560, Dr. Barbara Sturm’s advent calendar is among the priciest in the list but is worth it, given that a single mini serum will set you back $125 alone. The calendar features a selection of Dr. Sturm’s most loved products and is valued at $1,606, saving shoppers a huge total of $1,046 and placing the brand in third place overall.
Taking the fourth spot is Bluemercury’s ‘31 Days of Dazzle’ advent calendar. Valued at $1,343, the calendar retails for $300, saving shoppers $1,043 worth of beauty favorites. Bluemercury’s calendar has a surprise for every single day of December, stocked with favorites from brands such as Supergoop!, Molton Brown, Olaplex, and Keihl’s.
The Liberty London beauty advent calendar is another premium quality calendar without the premium price tag, placing fifth overall. Originally introduced in 2014 as the original multi-brand beauty calendar on the market, Liberty’s beauty advent calendar has since evolved to become the brand’s most successful and rapidly selling product in nearly 150 years. Priced at $320, Liberty’s advent calendar saves shoppers $1,030, with its contents valued at $1,350.
The next most cost-efficient calendar is Avant Skincare’s ‘Zodiac’ advent calendar. Avant ranks in sixth place due to their $199 calendar, one of the most affordable calendars on the list, which is valued at $1,063, saving consumers $944.
The top 10 best value-for-money beauty advent calendars are rounded out with Fortnum and Mason’s calendar ranking in seventh place, GLOSSYBOX’s in eighth, followed by the Liberty men’s advent calendar and LOOKFANTASTIC’s calendar in ninth and tenth, respectively.
